PAQGreen – Qualification Support Programme for the Green Deal

PAQGreen aims to improve the competitiveness of SMEs through the qualification of the sector for the development of eco-innovations that enable new models, products and services that anticipate and respond to future private and public demands, related to a holistic and sustainable management of economic activities, namely the vision of the new Green Deal of the European Union.

Objectives, activities and expected/achieved results: The main objective of PAQGreen is to qualify SMEs in the AEC sector in the North Region to develop new products and services based on eco-innovations, through the following SUB objectives:

 

– Produce and disseminate information on the new Green Deal, its challenges and opportunities for the AEC sector;

– Define an objective action plan until 2025 for response to the challenges and opportunities of the Green Deal, which may be implemented as a result of the project;

– Produce and disseminate a White Paper with the latest recommendations on Green Procurement for the AEC sector, to prepare the offer and contribute to a sustainable formulation of the demand side;

– Promote the emergence of new innovative ideas that may embody competitive advantages for the sector, inducing new competences that guide the sector in relation to the new sustainability requirements of its businesses;

– Encourage cooperation and co-operation among SMEs and between SMEs and entities of the national technological and scientific system

– Encourage investment and technology transfer as a way to add value to the sector;

– Update and improve the sector’s image with public opinion, also improving the prospect of attracting new talent;

– Induce digital use and interaction by the sector’s workforce and entrepreneurs.

 

6 distinct and interconnected Actions were defined, namely:

  • Action 1 – Digital Prelude;
  • Action 2 – Qualify the AEC Sector for the Green Deal;
  • Action 3 – EcoConstruction Hackathon;
  • Action 4 – Action Plan for the Qualification of SMEs in the AEC Sector in the North Region for the Green Deal;
  • Action 5 – Epilogue;
  • Action 6 – Communication and Management.
